Integrating Tech Tools for
Improving Student Engagement and Proficiency: By Oraib Mango

Abstract: This workshop will focus on the different ways that technology can be integrated into the teaching and learning of Arabic as a second language. Participants will develop an understanding of these technologies and how they can be integrated into the curriculum to enhance standards- based lessons, help fulfill course objectives, promote students’ proficiency while providing rich meaningful and engaging learning experiences.

Differentiating Instructions for Heritage and Non-Heritage Learners: By
Manar Tarazi & Baria Fawal

Abstract: In this workshop, the presenters will give an overview of their program and how they are buildingtheir curricula for heritage and non heritage students.  They will model activities and show how they are differentiated to meet the needs and proficiency level for each group. At the end, the participants will explore ways to adapt these activities for their own students.
